This trip is extended to be a 3 days 2 nights weekend trip which includes Genting and KL, the Mysteria Magic Show, the MMF magic meet, and the Magic Restuarant in KL.
Here is is the trip outline:
3 Days/2 Nights Genting/KL Weekend
2/6 (Friday)
- Singapore -> Genting : Arrive at Genting for Mysteria Magic Show + Stay over in Genting Highlands
3/6 (Saturday)
- Genting -> KL : MMF Meeting/Lectures/Performances + Magic Restuarant + Stay over in KL
4/6 (Sunday)
- KL -> Singapore : Shopping/sightseeing/etc etc till return to Singapore

Malaysia Magic Fellowship discussion thread
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls....
Some of you already heard about this during the last meeting at MagicalPam's place, but it's now official...
Malaysia Magic Fellowship will be having a mini magic convention in KL on the 3rd of June and they have invited us to attend.
This is a great chance for interaction and exchange with our counterparts from across the causeway and break out of the S'pore box a little. 
There is a wide mix of magicians with different specialities attending, with many pros and semi-pros, so there will be something for everyone.
The items planned for the day so far:
- Magic performances by various individuals from MMF (and maybe some of SMC side)
- Magic Lecture by James Tong of Malaysia
- Mentalism Lecture by Pambudi of Singapore
- Magic auction for items by everyone attending (so you can bring your stuff to sell too)
- Lots of fun and interaction for the whole day
- A dealers' booth for some items for buying and selling
- Lunch provided
- A set of James Tong's Lecture notes for all attendees
- All that for only RM$25 (About SGD$12)
More activites are being planned and organised as we speak so more things are looking to happen.
Other Activites
- And later in the evening after the meeting, those interested can join us for dinner in the Magic Theater Restuarant. For those that haven't heard of it, the MTR is a recently opened magic themed restuarant in KL that has some resident magic acts.
- And if timing permits, we might go up to Genting to see the magic show too! 
- And of course some shopping and sight seeing and all the other things tourists do. Zouk KL anyone?
But more details on the specific itinerary later. Right now, we need to confirm names for those who are interested in going.
Because of the need for logistics planning, the name-list will have to be confirmed by 15th May so that I can book the bus tickets and accomodations.
By rough estimation, transportation and accomodation should come to about $100 - $120 per person.
Another thing, because it's an overseas trip, this trip will only be available for those 18 years old and above.
Sorry to those who wanna go but below 18, because the responsibilities are a little too daunting for me. If you really wanna go, you will have to pursuade your parents to go with you or something. 
If you are above 18, PLEASE get the proper permission from the proper people as well too. Don't say you going to a chalet and run away to KL. 
Ok, finally, the name list.
I don't expect the name list to get very long, and places available are very limited anyway, with most already taken up in the MMF side.
Yes, i understand that most of us will have trouble confirming right now that we will definitely be available at that date, but if you are geniunely interested then please put your name down so that i can try to get the logistics sorted out, and when it's time to pay for it you can re-confirm. |
